Daniel Barenboim (born November 15, 1942) is a pianist and conductor. He is a citizen of Argentina, Israel, Palestine and Spain.

Barenboim is currently the music director of the Berlin State Opera and the Berlin State Opera, and previously served as the music director of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Paris Orchester and Milan La Scala.
