Tickets for the opera Rigoletto at Teatro alla Scala in Milan 2022

Rigoletto is one of the most important operas to be performed almost every year in Milan in the Teatro alla Scala. Don’t miss it by buying the best tickets to the Teatro alla Scala in Milan.

Rigoletto is an opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi. Francesco Maria Piave wrote the Italian lyrics based on the 1832 Victor Hugo play “ro ro s’amuse”. Although the Austrian inspectors who controlled the theater in Northern Italy encountered serious initial problems, the opera was premiered at La Fenice in Venice on March 11, 1851.

This work is Verdi’s 16th genre, and is widely regarded as a masterpiece of Verdi’s mid-to-late professional opera. Its tragic story revolves around the bohemian Duke of Mantua, the court clown Rigoletto who his instinct supports, and Rigoletto’s daughter Gilda. The original title of the opera is La maledizione (The Curse), which refers to the curse of Duke and Rigoletto by courtiers. The curse was realized when Gilda fell in love with Duke and sacrificed his life to save him from the assassins hired by his father.
