Lang Lang is a Chinese pianist who has performed with leading orchestras in China, the United States, Europe and other places. Active since the 1990s, he was the first Chinese pianist hired by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and some of the top American orchestras. A Chicago Tribune music critic called him “the biggest and most exciting young keyboard genius I have encountered in piano recitals over the years.” Lang Lang is considered by many to be one of the most accomplished classical musicians in modern times.
