Unipol Dome, Milan's new arena in Santa Giulia
Unipol Dome — also known as PalaItalia Santa Giulia — is the indoor arena built in Milan's Santa Giulia district, in the city's south-east, as part of one of Italy's largest urban regeneration projects. Constructed for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, where it staged ice hockey, it opened its live-entertainment calendar on 6 May 2026 with a concert by Luciano Ligabue in front of 16,000 people.
Capacity is up to 16,000: for concerts, that breaks down as roughly 12,000 seated plus 4,000 standing. The venue is positioned as a year-round home for touring productions and indoor sport, filling the gap between Milan's club-sized halls and its stadiums.
Sectors and layouts
As in most modern arenas, the configuration changes per event: concerts typically combine a floor (parterre) sold as standing or numbered seating with tiered stands around the bowl, split into price categories by distance and angle to the stage. End-stage shows leave sectors behind the stage unsold or with limited visibility, so check the seat map for each date.
Getting there
The arena is about five to ten minutes on foot from Rogoredo: Milano Rogoredo railway station handles mainline and suburban trains, and the M3 (yellow) metro line stops at Rogoredo FS, a few stops from the Duomo. ATM bus services to Rogoredo/Santa Giulia are reinforced on event days, and drivers can use the dedicated Linate/Santa Giulia exit from the eastern ring road, though event-day parking is limited and pre-booking is advisable.
