Synopsis “Tosca” is a tale of passion, love, and betrayal set against the tumultuous backdrop of Rome in 1800. The story follows the opera singer Floria Tosca, her lover Cavaradossi, and the villainous police chief Scarpia. As political turmoil ensnares the characters, their fates are sealed in a tragic and suspenseful climax.

Production and Cast The production is conducted by the talented Michele Gamba and staged by the visionary Davide Livermore. The sets, designed by Giò Forma, and the costumes, crafted by Gianluca Falaschi, bring the historical setting vividly to life. Antonio Castro’s lighting design and D-Wok’s video projections add a contemporary touch to this timeless story.

Chiara Isotton and Elena Stikhina share the role of the passionate and tragic Tosca, with performances by Isotton on March 15, 18, 20, 22, 26, and 30, as well as April 2 and 4. Stikhina will perform on March 25 and 28. The role of Cavaradossi is performed by Francesco Meli on March 15, 18, 20, 22, 26, and 30, as well as April 2 and 4, and by Fabio Sartori on March 25 and 28. The menacing Scarpia is brought to life by Luca Salsi on March 15, 18, 20, 22, 26, and 30, and April 2, and by Enkhbat Amartuvshin on March 25 and 28, and April 4. The cast also includes Huanhong Li as Angelotti, Marco Filippo Romano as the Sacristan, and Carlo Bosi as Spoletta.
